I had great friends, a supporting family and almost everything a collegiate would ask for, but no matter how happy you may seem there is a thing you always desire for. Well, I am not different, for me it was a matter of shedding away more than a few pounds from my body, in the presence of which I looked 1) 5 years older than my original age. 2) funny or cute but not smart and beautiful and 3) huge when sitting with rest of my friends. (The list continues but we are taking just a few things here on the priority basis).
This could be a perfect example of how a single set problem can grow into subsets of numerous other problems, which further may have their own subsets. The subsets of the subsets included no or very few dates, less opportunities for participation in college's popular events, a leg pulling from friends at equal intervals of time and many more (actually you can't count these subsets!).
I am 21 years old, weighed 175 lbs and my height was 165 cms (the following details may help you imagine how huge I looked.) and then came the disastrous times, which could have been the most beautiful moments of my life, if I weighed lesser. Let's take one by one. My fresher's party, I attended it alone (actually, nobody asked me for a date!). As was expected! I felt terrible. Second, I was invited for a pool party, I had to miss that, the reason was I couldn't afford to show my over flowingly disgusting bulge to them (friends). That's not all, most of the people didn't remember my name but they all knew me and when I came into their conversation, I was addressed as ‘that fat girl'. Oouch!
Oh! How can I forget to share the most embarrassing one! It was the prom night, despite of having no date; things were going smoothly, as a friend of mine accompanied me. But then, a guy approached me, which was the most disastrous thing that could happen that night (please listen to the full story before labeling me foolish on calling ‘a guy coming to me disastrous'). He asked me for dance, I said OK (why god!). Just then the DJ announced for paper dance (you have to dance on a piece of paper and successively the paper is folded but your feet remains on the paper only! One foot out of the paper and you're out of the game!). We were dancing and after a short while the piece of paper was folded to be a tiny piece of paper! We were so close, and then my dance partner suddenly took a weird decision! Next moment he was trying to lift me in his arms so that he could stand on that bit of paper (such a nerd!). Another moment passed and both of us were flat on the floor with every body staring at us while laughing hysterically. I felt like all my fat had started melting but soon realized it was the embarrassment that embraced me!
That night was the turning point of my life! Next day when I woke up! I had a goal to achieve, a goal to let go the extra flab that I had been carrying with myself for years. It was difficult but I was determined. I decided to follow a complete plan in order to get the positive results faster. I started following the proper diet and exercise regime. I was doing everything I could but the results were not very satisfying and frustration started engulfing me as I could not handle the hunger pangs and felt literally starving.
